Amanda Layton, Owner
Amanda Layton is not just the Owner of Layton Designs, but a wife + mother to two boys here in Edmond, Oklahoma.
When her Nursing career collided with being a mother, she made the tough decision to taper her hours. Eventually, she left her career in Nursing permanently to pursue her passion for home interiors + design.
Amanda established Layton Designs in April of 2017 + has never looked back. She’s been featured in The Scout Guide Edmond, Like ToKnowIt, McGee & Co, RugsUSA, 405 Magazine + she’s brought home multiple Oklahoma Parade of Homes Awards – this is just the beginning of her list of accolades, a list she plans to continue to grow.
On a lighter note, Amanda is a lover of wine + friends that cook. She has a hard time turning down any chance to travel or shop for home decor. A bit of a chick flick connoisseur, Amanda loves an evening wrapped in a blanket with a fire blazing + tv remote in hand. She manages to run this business in between school dropoff, practice, tutors + more. It’s frankly amazing how much one woman can accomplish in a day given the opportunity.

Emilee Rankin, Assistant Stager
Meet Emilee Rankin, a multifaceted professional with a background in real estate and a passion in home staging, and design.
Since April 2022, Emilee has been an integral part of Layton Design. Her innate sense of style and creativity combined with her meticulous attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to the team. She has an uncanny ability to bring spaces to life, effortlessly merging functionality with aesthetics to create captivating environments.
But that’s not all— Emilee is also a formidable athlete, showcasing her strength and determination on the football field as a proud member of the Oklahoma City Lady Force, a women’s professional tackle football team. Her dedication and commitment to both her athletic pursuits and her professional endeavors exemplify her drive to excel in all aspects of life.
Outside of work, Emilee finds joy and fulfillment in her personal life. She and her fiancé welcomed their little baby girl in February 2023 who brings immense happiness and purpose to their lives. The joys of parenthood and the love of her family serve as a constant reminder of the importance of creating warm and inviting spaces for others.
Emilee Liberton, Assistant Stager
Emilee is a current student at Oklahoma State University majoring in design and merchandising with a focus in interior design. She has been passionate about interior design since she was young and with her education furthering her knowledge in design principle, color theory, and spacial planning enables her to reach a diverse clientele.
She is excited for the opportunity to work at Layton Design while also continuing her studies. As a passionate student pursuing her dreams, she recognizes the significance of this chance to gain real world experience in her field of interest.
Born and raised in Yukon, Oklahoma and can be found spending some weekends home with her family. Outside of school and work she enjoys spending time with her sorority sisters and cheering on the Cowboys.
Meet the Design Team
Jamie Slothower, Assistant Designer
Jamie loves art, science, and psychology, finding Interior Design to be the perfect mix of all three. This led her to graduate from Oklahoma State University in 2020 with a degree in Interior Design & Sustainable Design.
After interning in the large scale commercial world, she was left missing the personal connection with clients and the ability to see projects through from beginning to end. Jamie was excited to move in a different direction when she got the opportunity to work with Layton Designs in a residential capacity. Meeting face-to-face with clients and having the privilege of being in their homes makes design so much more personal.
Jamie grew up in Oklahoma City where she currently lives with her Labradoodle, Reid. Although she is making a career out of interior spaces, Jamie typically prefers to be outdoors. Her favorite activities are hiking and running or really anything that doesn’t involve sitting still.
